Cryptocurrency Risks and the Limits of Coins Rate Content

Coins Rate publishes information, not personalized investment advice. A clear explanation of a cryptocurrency does not remove the risks of holding or using it.

Updated

Coins Rate provides cryptocurrency education and project information. Its articles are not personalized investment, legal, tax, or financial advice. They do not consider your circumstances, objectives, or ability to absorb a loss.

Price and liquidity are different risks

A token's quoted price may change sharply. It may also be difficult to buy or sell the amount you want at that price. A market listing is not a promise that meaningful trading remains available, that withdrawals work, or that the listed market is accessible where you live.

Small and older projects can be particularly difficult to assess when markets disappear, records become stale, or names are reused. A price page left online does not prove that a project is active. Historical market figures in an article describe the stated period and are not a live quotation.

Custody, software, and transactions

Control of a cryptocurrency can depend on private keys, a service provider, or software with specific operating requirements. Losing wallet access, sending assets on the wrong network, or signing a malicious transaction can cause losses that are difficult or impossible to reverse.

A technically valid blockchain transaction does not prove that the recipient is trustworthy. Published software can also contain faults. Smart contracts, bridges, exchanges, and automated systems introduce their own dependencies and failure modes. Mentioning one in an article is not a security audit.

Rewards and token supply

Mining, staking, and masternode rewards are not the same as a profit. Hardware, electricity, hosting, fees, token issuance, changing participation, and the value of rewards all affect an outcome. A quoted rate from an older article may no longer apply.

A token migration can change the network, symbol, software, or procedure required to use an asset. A surviving old token is not necessarily interchangeable with its successor. Readers should distinguish historical migration instructions from a currently available service and avoid treating archived addresses as active support channels.

Promotions and third-party services

A promotional panel is not evidence that Coins Rate has tested a service, verified every claim, or determined that it is appropriate for every reader. Automated trading does not eliminate losses, and a service's advertised access conditions may change.

Coins Rate has no payment service or trading accounts. It cannot reverse a transaction or resolve a withdrawal dispute with a third party. The advertising and affiliate disclosure explains the commercial information relevant to the site's promotions.

Information changes

Project documentation, markets, software, and legal requirements can change after an article is updated. Where the evidence is incomplete, a profile identifies that limitation. Such a limitation should not be read as proof of wrongdoing or as assurance that the project is safe.
