How to Request a Correction or Update at Coins Rate
A useful archive must be able to change when its facts are wrong or its subject has moved on. Readers can flag both problems by email.
To report an error or significant omission, use our contact page. Include the article title, the specific passage, and the evidence supporting your correction.
What makes a useful correction request
Identify the fact at issue as precisely as possible. If a token migrated, include the old and new networks and the relevant dated announcement. If a supply figure is wrong, explain whether the correction concerns circulating supply, total supply, or a maximum issuance rule. If a quotation or attribution is disputed, provide the original source where available.
A source's date matters. A new announcement may make an old statement outdated without showing that it was incorrect when first published. Conversely, an old mistake does not become acceptable because the project later changed. The requested correction should make that distinction clear.
Errors, updates, and differences of opinion
A correction fixes something that was wrong in the published account. An update adds a later development or replaces information that has ceased to be current. A clarification explains wording that could mislead even when the underlying fact was accurate.
A disagreement with an analysis is not automatically a factual error. It can still identify a missing assumption, an overlooked source, or an interpretation that needs clearer attribution. Evidence is more useful than requests to remove criticism without identifying a specific problem.
How the published record should change
The editorial standard is to make a correction proportionate to the problem. A spelling or formatting adjustment need not be treated like an error affecting the central claim. A material factual correction should explain what changed and why, so readers can understand the difference between versions.
Revised archive pages keep their original publication dates. A substantive update receives an updated date when imported. Historical news should retain the timing of the event it describes, with subsequent developments explained as subsequent developments.
Project representatives and removal requests
Project teams, service providers, and other interested parties may submit evidence through the same contact address. Identify your role and the basis for the request. A commercial relationship, changed marketing preference, or disagreement with an unfavorable fact is not evidence that the fact is wrong.
Requests involving personal information, rights, or other legal concerns should identify the affected material and the nature of the issue. Do not include private keys, passwords, or unrelated sensitive documents. See the privacy notice for the information still requiring confirmation about request handling.
